Shawnee is an acid-washed hair-on hide that offers a uniquely rustic appeal. Hair-on hides are hand-selected for quality, then splattered with a solution to remove the hair sporadically. Hair-on hides are then vat dyed with aniline dye stuffs. The hair absorbs the color according to the natural markings, while the areas without hair are all dyed the same dark brown coloration.
