HAVANA
Lookout Farm

Home to Hemingway from 1930-1960, Finca Vigia, which translates to Lookout Farm, is a handsome estate overlooking Havana. Located in Cuba’s San Francisco de Paula section, this is where Hemingway wrote. Amidst his hunting trophies and treasures, he penned The Old Man and the Sea, among others.
The pieces in this group are at once boldly simple yet also richly detailed, like Hemingway’s prose. Designed for relaxing, and comfortably accommodating friends and family, Lookout Farm creates a refuge from the chaos of modern life, work, and adventure.

My Three Sons

Ernest Hemingway’s three sons shared his adventurous spirit and artistic talent as youngsters and adults. They fished on his boat, Pilar, hunted with him, and explored Key West and Cuba. Later, two of them emulated their father and became conservationists and sportsmen.
Named using the son’s middle names, these three leather reading chairs are designed to support readers’ postures as they get lost in the written word. Each chair has its own special style; all are regal and comfortable.

Writer’s Paradise

The story goes that Hemingway was introduced to Cuba during a layover on the way to Spain — and it was love at first sight. The warmth of both the weather and the people enchanted him. Despite the distractions of fishing and social life, Hemingway said he found solitude in Havana, allowing him to write. And write he did. During those years, he created several of his most respected books and won the 1954 Nobel Prize in literature.
